For those of you who love smoothies, this will be your new favorite berry smoothie and also acts as a great base for a smoothie bowl!

Smoothies are a delicious and easy way to consume a lot of fruits and vegetables all at the same time. I am definitely known for sneaking in vegetables to my smoothies to add more nutritious value and to consume some vegetables during the day!


They key ingredient to get this purple colored smoothie is the blueberries!

Blueberries are packed with rich antioxidants; three times more antioxidant power than pinch or oranges! Blueberries are high in vitamin C, Vitamin A and fiber. Research has found that blueberries have important healthful aspects such as their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant actions, along with beneficial effects on vascular and glucose regulating function. More research is needed to provide evidence behind other health benefits but it is still a great fruit to consume for a taste, ripe and fresh flavor!


It is safe to say consuming blueberries and other colorful fruits and vegetables should become a part of a balanced lifestyle! This is why adding all different sorts of fruits and vegetables into a smoothie can help increase your intake of not only fruit and vegetables but very beneficial vitamins and minerals!
