Banana's are packed with nutrients such as fiber, potassium, vitamin B6, magnesium and vitamin C. With all of the beneficial nutrients in bananas, this ingredient is an important component of healthy diets such as DASH and the BRAT diet.


DASH diet is a heart healthy diet that stands for the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. The DASH diet encourages individuals to reduce sodium in the diet and eat a variety of foods rich in nutrients that help lower blood pressure, such as potassium, calcium and magnesium.


The BRAT diet is an acronym that stands for Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. This diet is generally to ease digestion or for those who require a bland diet after stomach ailments. and as well as being included in the BRAT diet ( an acronym for Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast)
